Pricing & payment

How does pricing work?

Standard is $15 per load of laundry and Express is $25 per load, with a $30 order minimum (before delivery and tip). Bigger orders pay less per load: 4–9.5 loads are $13 a load ($23 Express) and 10+ loads are $12 a load ($22 Express). Tell us what you’re leaving out (baskets or bags) and we estimate the loads for you: a small laundry basket is 1 load, a 13-gallon trash bag is 1.5, a medium basket or a Dirty Load tote is 2, and a 30-gallon bag is 4. Your first order is delivered with 1 free branded Dirty Load tote (while supplies last); additional totes can be purchased for $10 per tote. Every order also has a delivery fee of $0.35 per mile of the full service trip, with a $4.99 minimum (see the delivery fee FAQ). Bulky items like comforters count toward your loads.

When do you charge my card?

At checkout we place a hold (authorization) for your estimated loads and options — your card is not charged yet. We charge when our driver is en route to pick up your load. Stripe processes the card — we never store your full card number. If you cancel before that, the hold is released.

How is the delivery fee calculated?

A single order isn’t one short drive: we go to you, back to wash, out again for return, then back to town (four legs). The delivery fee is $0.35 per mile across those four legs, with a $4.99 minimum. Example: 10 miles one-way is about 40 miles of driving, so delivery is $14.00; addresses within about 3½ miles pay the $4.99 minimum. Your exact fee is itemized at checkout, before you pay. The fee is the same no matter how much laundry you send, so sending more on one trip gets you more for it. We hope to add a drop-off location later where you can leave laundry with no delivery fee and a reduced rate.

Can I cancel?

You can cancel or delete eligible orders in your account before they are in progress. After pickup or processing starts, cancellation may not be available and charges may still apply for work done. If we haven’t charged yet (still only a hold), canceling releases the hold.

Loads & containers

How do I know how many loads I have?

You don’t have to work it out. On the order form, tap + for each basket, bag, or tote you’re leaving out and we estimate it: a small basket is about 1 load, a 13-gallon bag about 1.5, a medium basket or Dirty Load tote about 2, and a 30-gallon bag about 4. Tap the “i” next to a basket or tote to see its size.

Do I need Dirty Load totes?

No. Leave your laundry in a bag, basket, or hamper, whatever you have. At pickup we move it into our own containers (your basket or hamper stays at your door), and it comes back folded in sealed clear bags. If you leave it in Dirty Load totes, it comes back in your totes. They stack, keep laundry dry in rain and snow, and keep it out of sight at your door.

What are Dirty Load totes?

Our black 17-gallon storage totes (25¾″ L × 17½″ W × 12″ H). They’re optional and just make your laundry safer and easier to handle at your door. Your first order is delivered with 1 free branded tote while supplies last, and additional totes can be purchased for $10 per tote. They’re yours to keep and reuse.

Pickup & care

Do I need to be home?

Usually no. Choose a pickup spot (front door, back door, garage, front desk, or custom) and leave clear instructions. Contact-free pickup and return is our default.

What area do you serve?

ZIP 54501 (Rhinelander, WI) only for now. Any address in the ZIP can order; the delivery fee is based on distance (see the delivery fee FAQ).

What shouldn’t I send?

Don’t include feces, vomit, heavily urine-soaked items, strong urine odor, needles or other sharps, hazardous materials, bugs, mold, or large clumps of matted pet hair. Empty pockets of valuables. A $20 special handling fee may apply, items may be returned unwashed, and repeated issues can close an account.

Is my laundry kept separate?

Yes. Orders are tagged at pickup and kept separate through wash, dry, and fold. Lights and darks are separated by default when practical.

What detergent do you use?

Name brands you already know: Tide or Gain for Classic Scented, all® free clear for Unscented Hypoallergenic, or your own. Softener and dryer sheets are fragrance-free Downy and Bounce, and nothing extra goes in unless you choose it. See everything we use, with ingredients.

Help & support

Do you have a satisfaction guarantee?

Yes. If you’re not happy with your first order, open a support ticket within 14 days of delivery. We’ll refund that first order in full when the service wasn’t for you — one per household. Damaged or missing items are covered separately under Hang Tight. See the guarantee on Hang Tight.

What if something is damaged or missing?

That’s our biggest fear — and we take it seriously. Your belongings deserve care and compassion. Please don’t include irreplaceable sentimental items (heirlooms, one-of-a-kind keepsakes) just in case something goes wrong; everyday laundry is what we’re built for. If something does happen, tell us as soon as you can, within 14 days of delivery. A real local person will review it with you. We’ll do everything in our power to make it right — including store credit (up to Basic care credit caps), a partial or full refund when that’s fair, and a sincere apology. Read Hang Tight, our full policy.

How does support work?

Every support message is handled by a real local person — not a chatbot. That means response times can be delayed depending on volume and when we’re on the road, but you’ll always speak with someone who can actually help.

Still have a question?

A real local person reads every message.
